Merle Hodge is a visiting professor of English at Dartmouth College and senior lecturer at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She is the author of The Knots in English: A Manual for Caribbean Users (1997), and the author of articles in journals such as Anthurium: A Caribbean Studies Journal, Journal of West Indian Literature, Interamerican Review, and The Caribbean Writer.
