Middlebury
is one of the few schools in the country
that can boast a beautiful 18-hole golf
course on campus. The Ralph Myhre Golf
Course is owned by Middlebury College, and
is the site of all the Panther home golf
matches.
The
Middlebury golf team begins their season
in the fall with the Duke Nelson
Tournament held at the Myhre Golf Course
in Middlebury. The team then plays in
approximately 3-4 more tournaments before
the NESCAC Championships in late
September. The Panthers host the NESCAC
Championships every other year. Following
the NESCAC's the team plays in the ECAC
Tournament, with qualifiers heading to the
NCAA Regionals and NCAA Tournament. The
team also has a brief spring schedule with
2-3 matches including the New England
Division III Championships in late
April.
Last
season, the Panthers enjoyed perhaps their
best season in school history. Middlebury
captured the NESCAC Championships and sent
two golfers to the ECAC
Championship.
