Now
in his 26th year at Middlebury,
Aldrich continues to lead the
men's and women's cross-country
teams. His teams have won
numerous state, conference, ECAC
and NCAA regional championships.
During his tenure at Middlebury
he has coached 11 cross-country /
track All-Americans. After the
'97 season in which the women
capped off a third place finish
at the '97 NCAA Championships,
Aldrich was named the New England

to his cross country duties, he
serves as director of the nordic
ski program.
A
1968 graduate of St. Lawrence
University, he was an outstanding
scholar-athlete, serving as
captain of the ski, track, and
soccer teams. Shortly after
graduation he earned a berth on
both the national nordic team and
the Olympic biathlon training
squad and competed in the 1970
and 1971 World Championships.
Aldrich came to Middlebury from
the University of New Hampshire,
where, as ski coach for three
years, he turned the Wildcats
into top contenders.
