Simms
enters his fifth year on the
coaching staff and fourth as head
coach of the women's tennis
program. During the past two
seasons, his program has become a
national presence with rankings
of 22nd in '02 and 20th in
'03.
He
has taught at numerous tennis
clubs and camps in the Albany,
New York area. For the past 10
summers, he has worked for
15-Love, a program that gives
free tennis lessons to inner-city
youth. He concurrently directs a
USTA Local Excellence Training
Center in New York.
A
1992 graduate of Middlebury,
Simms played four years for the
Panther varsity squad. He
continues to play tournaments and
is currently ranked in men's
singles and doubles in the USTA's
Eastern section.
